3XN och SLA har nyligen färdigställt det nya Klimatcentret vid vattnet i Lemvig, Danmark, vill vara ett forum för kunskap, utbildning, innovations och utveckling inom klimatförändringar. Glasfasaden på bottenvåningen gör byggnaden transparent och inbjudande och låter förbipasserande följa aktiviteterna i byggnaden och uppmuntras att komma in för att utforska.
”We have aimed to create a building that tells the story about climate. The building has a rectilinear, stringent expression but forms a wave shape that lends it a distinct and easily decoded identity. The wave tells the story of the site and also refers to the serious challenges we face as a result of climate change.” säger Jan Ammundsen, Senior Partner, Head of Design, 3XN.
